Are Stock Outboard and Modified Outboard numbers pick from the same pool of numbers?

same pool type
the numbers have the same format but you can have a different mod number then stock number if you wish, mine are the same. pro is a different format ie leter before number where as stock and mod have the number before the letter.
the number are different "pools" as they are not tied together.Gene Schertz 26V

LOL thats why I have 26v in both stock and mod, no one else in either division can have my number, so if I step up I had better have the only 26v out there.
Unless they are willing to pay me to have my number@!
So yes to your question, someone in another division could have your boat number if your not a member of that division. and yes this is true with the J classes also. normal fix for that is for one of you to add a 1 to the begining of your number for that race.
