Just returned from the the Town of Milton Board of Selectmen's meeting..........They are really excited about this weekend. The new Stock Outboard Poster is displayed in storefronts around Town. Also planned for the weekend is an antique auto show and a antique outboard display.
A couple of quick notes that were not on the sanction -
The Recreation area will be open on friday morning for early arrivals. However, please do not park trailers in the pits until the the Race Director is on site, which should be around 10:30AM.
Overnite parking - For Security purposes, we will be allowed to park two (2) Motor Homes in the pits overnite. All others will be parked across the street in the lot to the right of the Post Office.
Normally there is an admission fee to enter the recreation area. However, with the donation of a canned good or two, the fee will be waived. (We wonder were they got that idea!)
This facility is gorgeous and you will not be disappointed.......
The Schedule will be posted on this thread later this week once we know who is coming. This will be three days of racing in two for the largest seven classes so bring plenty of entries for your class.
The Mad Russian will be there (both D hydro's) with along with the entire staff of the Richmond Aero Marine 'For Competitioin Only' division. We'll be offering free advice along with the latest Victorias Secret catalog. And, if any of youse bozo's want avgas yer better let me know soon. $7 a gallon. Yeah yeah I know it's only $5.22 (maybe less) at the airport... but I had to buy a bunch of gas cans and I'm the toad fetching the stuff and hauling it to your trailer..... so's you don't have to. And, I don't mind doing it. But since you probably never will come to Richmond and buy me a beer and panini-bread sandwich at the Old Goat.... it's only fair that you give me a couple measly bucks so I can go buy it myself.
Looks like a great course at Milton. This will be our first race there so we're hoping to make the towns-folk happy and get invited back.
And, once again the RAM50Tohatsu "For Competition Only" is going to pay out $50 to the overall winner... all three days of racing.. to the racer running a Tohatsu on an O'Connor hydro.
Looking forward to it. Call or email if you want avgas 207-737-4570 or ram95@myfairpoint.net.
The State NH Water Event Permit is for June 9-10 only, the race course will not be set up until Saturday AM.
This is a Club Race on a break even budget, funds are not available for ambulance coverage on friday...
Manpower, under the new Risk Management requirements, we need a Referee and two patrol boats on the water at all times during testing. We are fortunate to have five volunteers arrive on friday to set the rest of the infrastructure up for the race. We do not have the people available to allow testing.
