Started going thru magneto parts I have. Discovered I have 3 caps for the Merc 4D mags that do not have the spring loaded carbon piece that rides on top of the rotor. It seems like I read on here sometime back that someone had found an old automotive dist. cap that you could salvage this part from. If anyone has any info or a solution I sure would like to hear it. Really would be a shame to throw these otherwise good caps away. Very expensive new.

I don't think so, I have the 393-1293A1 in stock and it is 1/4" in dai., they fit the amplifier distributers.

The one that fits in the old Kiek mags is a 393-1056A1 and they're 3/16: dia.
