  • OSY400 Phase 1

OSY 400 Phase One has passed.

    This Means:
    • Minimum Weight of 396lbs
    • Jetty starts required at Divisionals and Nationals

Change will be effective May 8, 2012.

Note: Phase One can be reversed by the commission (revert back to the current rules) if active drivers decline by 10% in 2012.

Congratulations to all who worked to make this pass.

Nice job on this, I think you are leading us in the right direction with the modifications to this class.

          Jetty Starts

I am currently gathering "how to" information, and once I have all my data, I will publish for all to see. Goal would be to have all the jetty/LeMans starts be the same across the USA. Drivers, what to expect; Race Directors, how to setup properly for the race. For example, how many heats, laps, how the flag drops, warm up, etc. No need to recreate the wheel, what's being done is working great - unofficial moto of changing over the rules to UIM compliant (that's not to say what we are currently doing is incorrect, but seriously, all it currently is [now was] was an another Yamato class...).

Awesome! My fat butt might actually have to run OSY at nationals. At least my 460 CSH will be closer to a minimum weight LOL!

Mr YOmato, I don't think I'm ready to buy another boat and motor, besides with the weight restriction it would be just another class I would have to add 50 plus lb's to.
Besides, the yamatos still don't have water pumps!

396 pounds is the UIM minimum weight for OSY 400 (180 kgs)

The other day GG laughed at me because I take more pills a day than she does....

I hope so! We talked about it last year, but it never got beyond that.
