Just saw a runabout being towed with a red Ranger at noon today in Brighton, MI. Just wondering who it was, there were no numbers on the boat.....either way its a sure sign of spring!!!!
I can't know who that was, but keep your eyes out for a gold Tacoma towing a representation of the original 333M along with the original 333M down to the Broge family. I'll be headed through tomorrow afternoon and will be picking up materials for various new projects... a new Top'O boat for 140M and rounded chine-stock and decking for the 44M 'A' rig. I will also be picking up a new Hemp kit for the Pfalzer family..new to racing. Things are still happening, folks. Check photo's of the 'new' 333M. KampKurz
ok... no hook then... just make sure you put some deer whistles on the front of that thing... don't want any deer jumping out in front of Nick this year....
building race boats is alive an well in northern michigan.hats off to mark kurz, with the re-creation of the 333-m,hope it will run as good as the old one.the ryde marine boat shop has two new A marathon boats almost completed.tom fairbairn, has built a copy of voisins A, that his daughter got 2nd place with last yr. in the marathon.wayne blomberg, master marathon boat builder has built his daughter a new #23.an his son an law to be, will build a new A as soon as there is room on one of the jigs.really looking forward to see the new side winders run at top o, the true testing waters for stock outboard motors.
Nice to know that folks are still prepping for Top'O. Just got done working on some Austin style rounded chines on Sam Fairbairn's new A runabout. Using Vince Voisin's A rig as an example. I feel lucky to be involved.

Good one Jr....Im gonna show you and Jimmy and the rest of the boys a thing or 2 this year...Im gonna show you....You just wait...Im gonna finish both days....I will show you!!
I last ran in 2008. Mullet was bad. My butt was black and blue from bouncing on my heels after my legs couldn't hold me up anymore. It's a b*^tch getting old. I heard and saw pictures of last year, I can't even imagine driving in that $hit. The surprising thing is, running Top O' at least one more time is on my bucket list.

I hope it doesnt weight as much as the original 333M!! Its the most heavy A boat iv ever had to lift over the grass lake wall.
Yea, you'll remember that one. That stuffing it and going over bow first really sucks....I did that testing in a place called Texas Ohio many, many years ago going balls out with a 55.....neck still creaks from that one......scared the $hit outta Carlos and Joe Schweikert as it was his 55 that got wet!!..
