  • I need a OMC ignition genius

    Who can awnser me a question about my 3 holer omc, brain box?? I have a new black box for the factory OMC ignition, CD3/6-58L is marked on it, also 582556 20D 0-0A are numbered the Question Has this got a built in REV limiter?? if so what part # do i need ?? Thanks Jeff

    Yes, 5,800 rev limiter

    The 58L is 5,800 limited. (I'm not an OMC ignition genius... Just "been-there-done-that")

    You might need to cut-n-splice to hook up a stock powerpack w/o the rev limiter.

    They can build you one without the limiter that will be "plug-n-play" with your current harness.

      thats what i need no limiter, how about #LX901?? I got a good deal on these 2 for $50 new in the box but have this lx901 sitting here also

          guess it is a after market made by standard motor products. just says electronic ignition module on it

            we run a CD03 583143 (superseeded by 582115). Seaway Marine, ask for Dave Losvar. No problems at +8K RPM

              all omc"s have rev limiters in there/power packs,,,, need rapair/cdi pack with out rev limiter,,, cant cut and splice as a tohatsu,,,,cdi website or 113-2138,,,,is there part# if ya call sewway 206-937-7373 tell them boat racer and ya want the racer price witch is dealer price should be around 80$...,, pay special attentin to running extra grounds with your coils and if running batt/starter tie them all together...
