One of our members, Kelly Kidwell, has been working on a very exciting project for the ODA. We are having a custom crash boat built by Blazer Boats built specifically for boat racing. It is a 16 foot alweld john boat with a front end that drops down into the water to help pickup an injured driver from the water without much hassle. It is in the process of being built now. We are also rebuilding our club trailer to hold the new boat with all new custom made storage boxes and many other things. We hope to have it all ready for our Lucas Oil Speedway test session in April. It will be very impressive and look very professional. This was a very expensive undertaking for the club, and thanks to some sponsorship from the boat company, a local boat dealership, and alot of work from Kelly Kidwell it's going to happen. We think this will be one of the best investments our club has ever made. Who can put a price on being safer, thats what helped us make our decision to do this project. We will post pics as work progresses.
