I am moving to Georgia in June this year, and curious what class is bigger, DMH or FEH? I don't want to race a class where I have to step up or down just to get on the lake. Thank you in advance for the help.
No, Ive never been DePue. I'm moving to Lilburn,GA (just east of Atlanta by Stone Moutain). I lived in Georgia for about three Years while I was stationed at Ft. Benning. I met my Wife there, and we decided to move back to where her family is at. We're pretty excited, I just dont know how much racing stuff I'll be able to take with me.
NBRA will have a race for your class, on May 20-21 at Pineville, La. Yearly dues are around 80 dollars, entry fees are usually 25 dollars. Lake Bulow is one of the finest racing lakes in the US. WE will have 7-8 E hydros, with Dave Mason the high point champion in the field...McAffees are in it to win it too.
Jon you will be close to some of our local APBA races. We have races in Jesup GA, Augusta GA, Tabor City NC, Wilson NC and we always have a good field of DMH's and there some racers that will be close to you in Lilburn.
Also CVRA (our local APBA Club) will be hosting races in Evans, Ga and Hinton , WV in June of 2012!! DMH is a active class in our club and all of the area.
I just wanted to say thank you for everyone’s help. I don’t know how much racing I’ll be doing down south this year, if any (we have to get settled in), but I’ll definitely try to attend some races so I know how much trouble I’ll be in trying to compete with all the east coast racers. I am trying to work some magic so that I can race APBA Nationals this summer (wink wink nudge nudge to my FE boat owner). I look forward to meeting all you guys when I get there. Thanks again for your help.

Jon,
I think we talked a few years back... Do you have relatives/in-laws NW of Atlanta? Anyway, looking forward to getting you in the area. There are several Pro & Stock racers around Metro Atlanta. I would be glad to help you out when you head this way. If you're not dead-set on Lilburn, then pick somewhere further North of Metro Atlanta!

I do hope you are going to make it to the MOD "Winter" Natinals in Tabor City NC this coming weekend.
