    What he's trying to say....

This cart has a special purpose. With that in mind, he is looking for something a little more "unique" or appropriate for the specific endeavor. We have the basics down on what works and what doesn't. That is not the issue. Now he is looking for some bling without breaking the bank.

Davey, that sounds like something I would say... even if the boat is slow as a snail, that cart sure looks sweet though, huh?! Coop, how about 20" spinners? GL

I have wide tires on mine. I'd rather deal with the cart floating than sinking in sand / mud. They're nothing fancy. I think I bought them from Harbor Freight. You could also use the front wheels and tires from a riding lawn mower.

Some good size golf buggy wheels , wide but solid rubber so they don't float.

                Floating

I didn't think about airtraps. Those of us who don't have training wheels it is sometimes hard to keep the floating cart from coming out from under the boat.

Another thing to consider is the tire surface. I prefer a smooth surface tire, so I dont bring the beach back home with me in my trailer.

13-inch wheelbarrow wheels are the way to go. They go over sand, grass, and mud. They float and are smooth so all you have to do is wipe them off before you leave to go home.

Watson Wheel out of Canada makes no flat wheelbarrow tires in several colors (orange, blue, red, neon green, etc). They have a couple of hub widths as well as bearing sizes to match the cart axles. Can't remember the price but I thought it was pretty reasonable when I bought the 4 for my 2 carts. They will float if that effects your decision one way or the other.

How about bicycle wheels of a small kids bike - you can find the bikes cheap ($10) at garage sales and they look good.
