      Montana or bust

I have been to Montana twice before to pick up parts and engines from Ray Hudson. I truely will be fun to race in the clear blue sky. Motor home will have to work hard to pull the rig over the small hills out that way. If all works well we hope the all the testing needed for the new MRC and should be through the propeller selection process. Can't wait to meet all the folks up that way. Lets make this a big NBRA race and get all the folks with rigs to come up. I trully will be a fun place to race. Just a question. If we travel up next week how is the testing?

Well as I look out the window right this minute it is snowing like a mother but the river is not frozen YET!! We have climbed some bad passes living over here with 8% grades and we are 6o feet long so take your time and you should make it..

This is looking to be a lot of fun..Just remember folks that you don't have to be a member of NBRA to come and join the fun!!

            Nearest Airport

            Mike,

What is the nearest airport ? Local or major. Perhaps some can make some plans now to get a big trailer around and load some boats an motors in it for the trip. Then fly out. With your new RV, you can provide a taxi service right !! Hehehehe. Just make sure the beer fridge is stocked.

Come join the fun and boat race !! All are invited. Lets prove the stats wrong, as typically a far away race is hyped up, everyone gets gung ho, and then attendence is half of what was hyped up. Lets prove boat racers can be true to their word.

I will post a bunch of links to the motels and RV places so that folks can make arrangements.. This place fills up fast for race weekend.. I will work on it after I do my barn chores

For taxi service our RV would be perfect except it only gets 7MPG..But it is nice and comfortable..

Here are the spots right in town very close to the pit area. The first link is the best spot for RV's and where the parties happen plus the bars are right across the street. The second link only has 5 RV spots but the rooms are really nice, the bar is right next door, and they have some suites that hold up to 6 folks. The third link is for the state park that is just 3 mile away and is really nice with a boat ramp.. It is first come first serve..

Then if those fill up it is a 22 mile drive to 3 more motels and one big RV park and another stae campground. I will find those links if necessary.

The nearest big airport is Spokane International which is 2.5 hours away or Missoula Airport which is also 2.5 hours away.. Now if you have a Lear jet or anything smaller then you can land at the THompson Falls airport just 24 miles away..I am sure you all own a Lear Jet

Flying into Spokane is usually more economical than Missoula. Airport code is GEG.

I think that is 4 D mods so far. This is great.. We are hoping to get more sponsors for extra tow money and possibly a little class money to make things interesting.. Dont they have a purse for the winner of C stock at Loch Haven?? I am thinking we need something for the D mod/E mod class??

Man, I might try to come also. If I can get one of my hands to drive the rig up. Looks like a "destination" race. Beautiful country. Hope to make it with DMH EMH SEH. Bryan Tharp
