My prayers go out to the families.

As a former crewmember on an offshore boat I know first hand just how fast and unstable these big boats are, I sincerely wish the families all the best and pray that our God in heaven will comfort them as only he can.

    Godspeed JT and Bob.

      Very Sad

How horrible Dan. A sad day for the offshore community and the racers families. Our prayers go out to them.

The boat obviously did not provide much protection from that high speed blow over. I was at Key West in 1986 when Mark Laven was taken and that was gut wrenching. The year before two more died.

Other people lost in the past from the sport they loved so much can be viewed at the following link.
