I bought these for my son to race in. They seem to be holding up pretty well. They're made for sailing but have the flexibility needed in his hydroplane and runabout. If they keep his foot & toes attached it's worth the $180.00

Protection?

Nice boots, look like a "softer" version of my Alpine Stars that I use for off road riding. I read through the description on the link, not sure how their going to help keep your son's foot and toes attached.

I'm just a guy that is more concerned about keeping sand and stones out of my shoes, but am always open to new ideas when it comes to safety. Thanks for the link.
