    Weight Limit

Lots of good arguments for no weight limit in DMR. So let's do the same for CMR so I can those **** weights otta my boat. Like that will happen.

      Homework

Lonnie NAILED it. He is very dedicated, does his homework, and busts his @$$. He also (like Mr. Luce) will share his info. His dedication and hard work makes weight completely irrelevant.

        Bad Backs???

George told me the reason the weights were removed years ago was in a big part due to people breaking their backs lifting these beasts on and off the scales...........guess all of a sudden peoples backs are feelin good again and folks need the exercise?? Makes one wonder!

To all drivers of the dmr class please post how much weight you would add or how much you would be over the NBRA 490 weight.

If you think your weight is a speed secret... We know.

I tiped the scales at 605 at the stock nationals... My mod motor is maybe 5lb lighter. At 490 that is about 110lb you have on me. How much more do you need? Ps. Jerry. I am on a diet. Race at 605 to see who good your stuff really is. (Jerry, good work helping the sport...nothing but love for the work you do....thank you for selling a 750r every year. It does help the sport. I would hate to see you leave.)

If you do not post your weight how can we tell why you object. I bet Jerry D is around....465 bob d is around 435 George L. Around 460 and James L. around 430. Steve D. Around . Val??? I can not guess a girls weight. Mom says so.

Most of these boats will be racing near you this weekend. Weigh them and then speak from knowldge. Maybe you race at 490 already!!!

It would be fantastic to see everyone at 1 weight and then let the
best motor/boat/prop builder/DRIVER win. I will still enjoy finishing where ever I end up... Will you stop racing because of 20lb in you boat? You can take it out for FER!!!

Val will not reveal her weight =)

Maybe we can vote the rule in and then just do like Obama's heath care plan and just give exemptions for people who have bad backs.

That is not the case. The reason was to bring in light pro boats and to make it easier to enter the sport. Boat availability. Mission accomplished we now have races with more than 3 boat fields. At most races only the top 2 or three are weighed.

                weight

I thank it dont make much of a difference i was 520lbs when i set the DMR 3/4 mile record and i dont thank any budy lighter has beat it yet i havent checked. But if one mod class dont have weight than none of them should so maybe that what you should do or put weight on DMR FER FEH it should be a category rule not a class rule

Your record was broken by 5 or 6 seconds this year..... LOL what record did Bob D just smack. Goerge L and Jerry d have all set records if I recall correctly.

                      Weight...

Yes to the min weight vote...I do my homework and garage time...But Im 6.4 -230. Im not fat but not a jocky either... I dont want to put a little person in my rig to win, that defeats the purpose! And anyone that says weight doesn't matter is WRONG!!! And if it doesnt matter why the debate??? So lets put a min weight in and let everyone have a chance to race competitively...Btw I've never weighed my boat so I might have to add weight myself, I highly doubt it but I would. So all you little guys stretch out to get bigger, eat a cheeseburger and relax...Ill help you put your boat on the scale;-} KMB/115-M DMH/DMR.

                        Scales

To heavy to lift to scales is a off the wall excuse!! We are checking Dmh-
Dsh and some want to raise that even higher. Csr I believe is even at 470lbs.
I was always told if you can't lift it---don't run it!!!!

                          Minimum Weight

I was just trying to be a little funny. In rough water a little won't hurt a bit and is probably a help. Minden comes to mind. I test drove a friends CSR a few years ago who weighs a bunch more than me so it was probably 30 to 40 lbs under the minimum with me in it. It was a bit loose and I sure wouldn't have liked to have driven it in a rough water race at that weight.

                            Weights

12 Dmod runabouts particvpated in more than two races all season. 38 people participated in likely one weekend of racing for the 2011 season.

no sure a change is warranted or would get much traction

                              Weight?

                              Boat: 120lbs
                              Driver: 130lbs
                              Motor: 140lbs
                              Total: 390lbs

No, I'm not going to join a new class, but just think of the possibilities!
