  • Looking for some good designs for reference

Buying a house with a garage soon, so I'll finally have a place to build my boat. I've only got my overall design drawn out so far, and I'm new to circleburners, having come from the West Coast river racing scene (where hydros turn both ways!), so I'm looking for a set of plans that I can pull some measurement ballparks off of. Somewhat more specifically, I'm looking for the plans for a hydroplane that stands out as a consistent winner. I recently put in some phone time with Tom Cronk, and he said that the Hemp design is a good one, but I'd like to get a few more opinions on the topic before I hunt down a set of plans.
Speaking of Tom, for those of you who know him or know of him, he apparently took the faster way off a ladder not too far back, and he's a bit busted up. Thoughts and prayers for him as he's on the mend.

Just my Opinion, The HEMP boat if your building a stock or Mod hydro. Its a fast and great turning boat.

              Mrc

I have seen the MRC hulls run, and they are designed by one of the best in the business. Mike builds a real nice finished hull too, not much finsih work to do other than paint.

I don't think you could go wrong with a set of plans from him. They are also the owners of this website. Easy to get hold of.
