    No problem - I checked out stain/epoxy compatibility at: http://www.epoxyworks.com/21/index21.html (go to section on stain compatibility) and they give a good rundown... I went with the Miniwax waterbased stain (Royal Mahogany). You can get this at Home Depot or Lowes - needs to be mixed up as it comes in a base and they add the tint. In the can it looks purple (which at first made me think they mixed it up wrong)- but when you apply it, it really brings out the mahogany. Highly recommend first putting on a water-based stain conditioner to ensure even stain distribution. Also, don't put on when too hot or in direct sun as it'll dry out stain too quick (need to keep it damp and then thoroughly wipe off excess with a clean cloth). I recommend practicing on a scrap of wood first to develop application techniques.
