Moses Lake
I was the co-race chair for the event....just got home, and do not have the results in front of me....it was very very hot, upper 90's both days....fantastic water with no wind at all....I layed in a 1.10 mile course Saturday, 3/4 mile course Sunday.....90 or so entries both days. The largest class of the weekend was CSH with 9 entries I think....DSH had 4 Saturday, 5 Sunday, but the highlight of the weekend was the Novice C class.....6 entries Saturday and 5 Sunday, with a mix of old and new racers. They put on a great show, and to a person they all came up to me and Tony Perman and thanked us for putting the class together.....that just made my weekend! I think it should be an offical APBA class....but more on that at the annual meeting. I will get the summary sheets and give a detailed tally of who won what in a day or so. David

Just a big Thank You to all that helped out Ken McMurphy (Racer X this wekend) this weekend. It was my intention to be there to help him out as much as possible, but I have a hard time saying no when asked to go drive. He did experience some issues with his 302, and fortunately I brought a backup motor for him to use Sunday. Ken did a super job driving at his first race, and I think he was super impressed by the region 10 guys being so willing to lend a hand. Its nice to see one of our boats going to such an enthusiastic person. Thanks again for all who helped out.Sean Byrne

Racer X
Lol....we have a new racer nickname...."Racer X" Better then some of the other ones I have heard or experienced over the years.....Kurt Myers just plain outdrove me In DSH.....Some other people that impressed me were Shane Thomspson in 20ss and Ron Magnuson winning the first Novice C even ever in region 10. As a side note, CORA is bringing digital clock up for next 2 races....our old relic is on it's last legs. David. (5 U.S.)

moses lake results
Funny thing here, as I composed in my mind what I wanted to say about my first real boat race experience at Moses Lake and novice C, I was going to sign off as "racer X" as I removed US1 from the boat because I was not going to discredit the boat with my performance. That said, I want to thank every one who helped me out when Sean was not available as I was overwhelmed at times and needed all the help I could get! I would like to thank anyone who helped me, boat X, last weekend, hopefully I expressed this in person. Deciding to go racing at my age was a big decision, and want to thank each and every one who took their personal time with me. Firstly, Mike Perman as I took up more of his time with questions and emails than one could imagine. Never did I sense he was just kindly putting up with me...good actor? or good egg!? Good egg from my view. Mike Johnson for lending me a prop to toss into the draw so I could run novice C. Lastly, Sean Bryne for being equally patient with me as Mike Perman. Sean mostly sacrificed his weekend to help me. He even let me use his power head for 20 and CSH on Sun. as my motor barely made it thru four heats of novice C overheating. This generosity provided me with the highlight of my first weekend racing, a bona-fide 3rd place finish in the second heat of CSH. Thanks to all, racer X.
