Just spent the last two days with Jon Steen (JDS) going over my FEH kit.
He came all the way from WA, to NOR CAL for a "house call"!!! .

we did a mock up of the frames (no glue) just so I could get a better understanding of how this will all go together,Having never built a boat before . The parts in the kit are so good, the pics don't show just how good they fit. It only took about two hours to do the mockup. but geting to spend two days with the "master builder"

You Are Right

To have someone actually come and show you is a sign of a good company. Hats off to JDS for that. One thing for pictures and phone calls, but man, a perosnal visit can make all the difference, now lets hope you took a lot of pictures of that dry run. I know the first boat I ever built was a Sorenson kit boat that is still racing in DMH today, my dad races it. He has a video that helps a ton to. I have to admit, even with the video and clear instructions a first timer will always have questions. I had plenty, and Darrell was easy to get hold of on the phone.

Another good one is MJR, the plans and book are very good, and Marc has an email address for questions. He can point you the right way.

Those are the ones I have experience with.

I Found It !

After 5 years of searching I finally found it! Now I have to make sure it doesnt get lost again. I call it my getaway, you may call it a GARAGE FLOOR! (4 days of cleaning)
