I really though I was going to get a break after the new boat build but I guess not.

                Clear Coat

                Mike,

How do you blend the clearcoat over the paint to not show a tape line or overspray look ?

Thats exactly what I was thinking as well. It must be the brush coat and spar varnish finish is forgiving?

I don't spray any more..Use to spray paint everything but got tired of protecting everything from the over spray.. Now it is all Pettit paint and a Purdy paint brush or foam brush. With a coat of epoxy and two coats of spar varnish before the color goes on.. It blends in very nicely for repairs. Not perfect but close

April, do you get to run the y102 for the rest of the season? You were definitely having fun with it

Sean, she informed me it is time to sell the Yamato 80 and time to look for another 102 or 302 for next year.. She is really to big for the 20SSH (Y-80) class and needs to move up..Maybe she should do the C Mod class since she liked Rondas Laydown for next year.

A Laydown that is super light for my BIG BUTT would be great, but I would totally settle for a bigger engine for the Bucket List I sure do like that boat and we know each other so well. LOL

Yes, Sean I get to run the 102 again but Kevin is not thrilled about it cause that means we have to switch the engine back and forth from boat to boat between sections of racing. Even if it makes him cranky it's TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!!!!!! I can't wait for this weekend. I am hoping to get those really good starts again and see what happens.
