  • Crystal Lake

...if you are looking for accomodations for our Crystal Lake race, JK's Roadhouse is between Alex Bay and Redwood and has in-expensive,newly refurbished rooms. The "Roadhouse" has real roadhouse ambiance, great food, and lovely barmaids. It would be a fun place to take over at the end of Friday testing and I don't think they would care if you are still wet ! They have a limited number of rooms.Call 482-4600,if interested.Tell em you are coming for the boat races.

Dash for Cash at Crystal Lake

all you have to do is dash to Crystal Lake ,weekend after next, and register to
race. Each class you register for Sat and Sunday gets you a "ticket". We will draw on Sunday for $1000. We recognize the need for participants. Our sport needs to value participation right now more than race winners. The Fishers Landing Racing Club is looking forward to showing all a good time, good racing, and luck of the draw !

Anyone going to be there with ASR's
I'd be tempted if the wife lets me, but i need some numbers.

                Dch/dsh ?

Anyone, beside me and Fran Johnston, bringing a DClassicHydro
If we get 3 or more, we can enter as Classics, run with the Ds, and get scored separately. Otherwise I will enter as a DSH and harass the 'Hat-Sues'.
Be nice to see a full field Ds start. We had 10/11? a few years ago.

Id love to go but my brakes are still out due to a 'find parts issue' & my daughters car burned yesterday leaving the family with one roadworthy ride. Sounds like a blast, hope it goes well. w-t-c yeee-haa LoLs

Big thanks to all the folks involved in planning, running, and attending this race!
Everything seemed like it rolled smoothly, no delays, and racing wrapped up by 3:30 on Sunday.

                        Thanks guys!

I'll have some pics up in the next few days.

                            Crystal Lake Moments

thanks to all who showed up. We wish everyone could have won the $1000 draw prize for attending, but we only had the one bundle of cash. Take heart that it was won by a young man who has done more for our sport than most...volunteering as an APBA rep at several levels and building great boats.Scott Reed certainly deserves that stroke of luck.

There were lots of hard fought, exciting races. I hope we see some photos. On a personal note, Hunter 4 gets his first win over HG3. I made the mistake of spotting him a couple hundred yards at the start and could not catch him ! The "new" boat and his good motor is quite impressive.

                              Great race at Crystal lake

We had perfect weather and therefore perfect racing conditions.
To all of the volunteers and the Fishers landing racing Club a very
large thank you. See you next year. Regards Michael
