Truly one of the most beautiful race sites. I can't believe how much the community rallies and supports the event. Thank-you Trout-Creek and Thompson Falls!

We couldn't have asked for nicer weather and I hope every other year is like this one. It was very nice to see some new faces and to be able to match faces to Hydroracer handles.

                Thanks again Mike and Teresa!

DSH who is R45. Looks like the boat I built for John Burney. He sold to someone from East Washington State. Has a lot of lift as john was is the 285LB range. 6'7"

                    Incredible

That looks like the best scenery around for boat racing. I will make it some year.

Mike, you are doing exactly what is needed to build the sport, go race where it is appreciated, and the town supports you. That my friends is a key tool to how you build boat racing to the public.

Oh, Mike, tell the 80 year old he is younger than Burt Hoefs who races SEF (FEH) in the NBRA circuit. And Burt wins regular like. In fact he won Nationals last year. So guess what, you are never to old to race boats !!!

I am glad to hear you are never to "old to race" cause I hit the big 60 next year.. Ouch The community is already planning a bigger event next year with a full carnival for the non racing part of the crowd.. Now if we can just come up with a way to control the pleasure boats.

I think "Military Grade" flares would control the pleasure boats just fine.

I think a couple sinkings with surface to surface missles would get there attention..

My wife and I stopped in Saturday - was fun to watch. I can see the problem with pleasure boats flying by - what is done to prevent that at other race sites - can't believe Trout Creek would be the only one with such issues. That being said, we wished we would've brought the cabin cruiser over and maybe spent the nite.

Regardless it was fun watching all - does anyone know if KPAX made it up? I heard they were going to.

We saw reporters from newspapers but we never saw a camera crew. One of the reasons we had troubles with boats is that the body of water is so big that we could make our 1.5 mile course and still have room for folks to get by if they would slow down.. Some were asked if they would slow down but we all know they did not or they would go a slower speed and make bigger wakes.. I do think a flare gun would work possibly.. Plus we have out of bounds bouys way out and a lot of folks sat in there boats and watched from there. Its just that they raced to get there. If folks don't know our set up is a lot like Seattles unlimited race but we have no log boom just a couple boats to keep folks behind the line.

Anyway we will see if the Trout Creek folks have any ideas cause they are already making plans for next year. Time to go back to boat repairs. The only accidents this weekend were two E mods. Brian went out on Saturday so I felt sorry and decided to try a little whoop di do in the opposite corner on Sunday..

Great site for a boat race

The site looks like a great place to race. Next year if it does not conflict with an NBRA race we will be there. Everyone that posted photos did a great job and hopefully more people will come back to boat racing.
