Sorry to hear about the cancellation. For the Stock Outboarders check out Kingston, NH that same weekend. Three days of racing in two and the start of Fall foliage in the Northeast. Ms Abby has attended the last two years, ask her if it is worth the trip!

any chance outboarders can pick it up

any chance the outboarders can pick up the race. last year i thought the outboard turnout was very good.

take a look at the numbers

upon further review of the above link, the outboarders had 61 racers on saturday, the inboarders had 41. we had 20 more racers and we didn't need cranes and a lot less in expenses. just a thought.

Sponsors don't pay to watch the little boats race. Were you at Wilson this past weekend Frank? I didn't see you.

                football season

couldn't make wilson this year. i had 2 high school football scrimmages to do. i hope to make it next year. i will be at loch haven, took off friday to go up and do some testing.

i have my first regular season game tonight. i'm the back judge and get to run backwards all night. oops i think i left myself open for some comments. we get to see if my running this summer pays off. last time i ran i broke 34 min for a 5k cross country.

                  Numbers

Frank the deal is the inboards only run about 5 classes with 41 boats. We run 15 classes with 61 boats so that means a lot of 3 and 4 boat classes which r not very entreating.

Inboards end up with a few 3 and 4 boat races as well.

                        numbers

                        bob,

you have a point. too bad races have to be cancelled. one thing with our numbers is that we may have more of an economic impact for the local community than the others. maybe next year it will be back on. maybe more inboard/outboard races can happen.
