Dates for 2012 Nationals...

Does anyone know the dates of the 2012 Pro and Stock Nationals? A family member's wedding was just announced for the end of July, 2012

PRO Nationals has been last weekend in July for a number of years now. Have no idea if a change is in order for 2012, but that is the way it has been done for quite a while.

Shouldn't be too much trouble to ask to move the wedding. You can do that anytime.

2012 Pro Nationals

The tenative dates for the 2012 Pro Nationals will be testing on July 25, 26, and racing dates 27,28,29. If any changes we'll let you know.

On the APBA web site under J minutes from Detroit it says Grass Lake will be 2012 July 16 - 21. Which is early but would make sense to be the week prior to the Pro Natl. Hopefully someone from MHRA can confirm.

Please don't tell me that these two events will be scheduled on the same week again.

The first time was an error, lack of communication, and an anomaly on the calendar...I get that. But what was that GW Bush line? "Fool me once, shame on you?....."

There's more than a few racers who like to attend both of what are among the two best events on the APBA racing schedule. Please don't make us have to choose.

SO/J Nationals

All,

We recognize the issue that was created in 2009 due to as Pat stated "The first time was an error, lack of communication, and an anomaly on the calendar" and MHRA doesn't want that to happen again in 2012.

The 2012 SO/J Nationals are being planned for July 30 (Monday) - August 4 (Sat.). Specifics on registration, testing, elims, finals, etc. still tbd. This is tentative at this point, but we don't see any issues that would require MHRA to change the dates. We will be having meetings in the upcoming months with the village to start hammering out details and will start the communication with the racing public as soon as possible. You can expect a website for the Nationals (similar to '09) with details on all aspects regarding the event to be out in late 2011/early 2012.

For what it is worth the Modified Nationals in 2012 were seperated form the Stocks. Rainbow City will host the Mod's the week prior to the Stock/J Class event in Grass Lake.

I am not 110% sure on the Mod date but i believe it is the weekend prior to the Stocks and J's.

Nice job again on the streaming from Wakefield...........

The Pro Nationals always begin the last Friday of July for finals, with testing the wed/thurs before.
