Then brought her home and removed the rope starter pully and let her dry out over night, no signs of water anywhere even pulled spark plugs and well lubed block. Thanks again for the heads up advice,

What can happen is droplets disperse from initial running but some sticks around, why its best to frequently start up & get fuel thru it so possible remaining water in bearings is flushed & moved around before it gets a chance to begin rusting & pitting. Ive heard of a 'dried' motor going bad. Good Luck

I'll take your advice and run it tonight for a short time (no cooling water). Then repeat tomorrow after work.
      thanks again,

If you want to screw around on a lake by yourself- get a lake boat or a runabout. All Yamatos are a bit temperamental to start when the exhaust pipe outlet is under water.

Yea, i found out. Looks like I need a buddy and chase boat. Got a lake boat, it's a Bullet Bass Boat 20' center console comp hull (960#) with a 2.5 mercury Promax and sportsmaster LU turning 7K which is where the rev limiter kicks in. With a lite fishing load she'll break 90 mph, actually 90.7 on gps speedo and Eagle GPS with my fishing prop.
