NSRA/CVRA Banquet

The NSRA / CVRA year end banquet will be held saturday November 27 and sunday November 28 at the Elizabeth City Cosmopolitan Club in Elizabeth City NC. The banquet is to be held saturday the 27. Happy hour will be from 6:00 till 7:00 (BYOB) Dinner will be served from 7:00 untill. Dinner will be BBQ Pig, Baked Beans, Stewed Potatoes, and more. Tickets will be $5.00 per person. Please RSVP by november 19.
The NSRA/CVRA meeting and election of officers will be sunday morning November 28. Time to be announced.

Hey Kevin, Bill brings up a good point, most folks will be traveling for the Holiday weekend and might not be able to attend any thoughts ? not to make it a big deal but I was just wondering.

Dan, That was my thoughts also. I figured there may be a low turn out with the holiday so close. From what dad had told me after I mentioned that to him was, that was when everyone wanted to have it. I dont know who everyone is, I am just the messenger!!! The club it is to be held at is only five minutes from where all the motels are in Elizabeth City. I will ask dad again to make sure this date is going to work out, I would hate for him to cook this big spread of a meal and have a low turn out. I have a meeting tonight so I will pass on any info I get either late tonight or in the morning. Any feedback from anyone else on the dates?? Is it fine the way it is?? or do we need to move it one way or the other??? let me know.

Oops

Didn't mean to toss a wrench in the works RE the dates. Having set up a few such affairs in my day I know that reserving a hall and contracting for food and such is serious work, and often not open to flexibilty on the dates.

Suggestion: The internet! Perhaps someone In E-City can plug in a laptop and the rest of us can steal away from our various family activities for a few minutes and offer comments to the meeting.

Lots of plans for traveling for Thanksgiving, would give my vote to move
back if possible.

I have been told that the weekend that we have is the only available weekend for the hall, until after the first of the year. I need input from everyone as soon as I can get it so I know whether to keep it as is or to reschedule until after the first of the year.Please send me an email at
