  • Dave Dewald vs Ed Hearn

I have heard that Ed passed up Dave for most total titles won in Stock Outboard. I have them at 18 each. Can someone tell me what I am missing?

    I have:

    Dave: ASR(4), BSR(1), 15R/BR (5), 25ssR (8)
    Ed: ASR(2), 15/BR(8), 25ssR(3), 15/BH(5)

It might be HOC inductions... Ed has 14 (I know this because his goal was to get as many as his number).

When I first saw the title I thought you were going to ask who was better. I'm glad that was not the question. I would hate to hurt Ed feelings in the open like that.

It should be a crime comparing anyone to Dave Dewald....I sure miss him and his dad showing up at Top O Michigan.

Chuck Norris flies it so high it's considered an aircraft!

THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER DAVE DEWALD.

Dave earned his titles in the half the time in the most competitive classes during the Merc challenge era.
Not to mention his marathon record.

And if this were a handsome contest?

I agree that there never will be another Dave Dewald. I sure miss seeing him drive. I have never seen someone go thru a corner more smoothly in a runabout regardless of the water conditions.

As for the post, I am just trying to clarify that according to records (passed along from the great Craig Bowman), it appears that these two are tied right now at 18.

Chuck Norris wouldn't stand a chance Donny. ha
