Sounds Like fun! So if you win C-Lite does that mean you have to wait a year again until you can race that class? I'm would not be interested if we are going to run a 2 blade prop and then run the motor at 1 1/2 inches though that would be the only thing that turns me off from this! If we could run our normal set up and swap 3 blade props that would be cool. This is supose to be a class that will help some of us improve our driving and get us to the point where we can compete with people like Jersey, Lewis, Bahl, Peters, Nielson, ETC. right?

Novice C class
This class will be run both at Moses Lake and Silver Lake Eatonville this year....rules are pretty simple....same setup as a C stock hydro (weight height etc) with each driver supplying a 3 blade prop of his/her choosing. The props are numbered, and there is a random draw for the props. Then, the first place driver changes props with the last place driver. Only drivers that have not won a csh race at an Apba event over the last year are eligible...and this is on the honor system. I hope to turn this class into a nationwide spec class, with sealed motors and identical props....more on this later. dave

If you have some new folks coming...
PLEASE give their contact information to Dave Anderson who will be coordinating the New Folks Schol this year. That way we cann keep all the students in the loops together through group e-mails and notifications. According to Dave it looks like once again we will have a very full class, yea SOA!!!!Moby Grape Racing

What a blast this is!!!
As we sort of suspected when we came up with this crazy idea, there was 1 prop that was faster than the others thrown into the pot, and the person running that prop won 3 out of 4 heats. BTW there may be a lesson to be learned there everyone. It awesome to see these guys all going into turn 1 together, and especially seeing some guys try out lead water for the first time. They seemed to like it The championship will be decided this weekend, there is currently a tie between Ron Magnusson and Mike Harmon. I can't wait to see how this turns out.Moby Grape Racing

One more thing
As I stated in another post (Moses Lake results) I think the novice C thing was a huge success..the smiles and high fives from the people involved just made my whole weekend....and if we can keep people interested and maybe bring in some new people I think that's just so cool......Also, I want to thank Tony Perman and all of the rest of the people that helped us with this thing....let's keep the rules simple and make it fun for everybody involved...is that not what stock racing is supposed to be about?

novice c
Hey, where's old racer X in the mix!? I finished all four heats in no less than 2nd place, but did jump the first heat and overalled 3rd.? I ran three different props and per my gps I saw virtually the same top speed with all of them. Conclusion is there was no single fastest prop here. And there is no guarantee that the same set of props will be up for grabs at Eatonville. I love this novice class as it gives the non front runner a chance to compete, but not sure the whole prop draw is necessary. I would be happy competing against all non CSH winners with their best set up to include their own prop. Just a thought. Not complaining here, as the advent of this class was likely responsible for me to decide to go boat racing. I greatly appreciate your efforts to create this class!!!!!
