A huge thank you to everyone who attended. We had 2 gorgeous hot days of flat glass water. Those who are making the trip to Wakefield at one point in time or another had their nationals' setup on and worked out the bugs.
I want to thank Indiana Outboard for their strong showing at the event. Thanks for making the trip!! Our friends to the north from MHRA, thanks for coming south. And to the New Jersey crew, wish you had had better luck, but thanks for making the long trip.
Kudos to the race committee for getting us up, on the water and off the water. Big Jon Brewster arranged for a great evening in the pits. A nice dinner that was followed by the premier huckster Brian Williams who was selling ice to eskimos. And teaching Domenic Trolian how to buy all the prizes without spending any of your own money. Had to be there to believe it!!
Also had a birthday cake for Mary Williams, who celebrated her 29th (??) birthday working the judges stand so no pictures to post.
All in all a great weekend of racing. Was nice to see John Maddrell and David "Hot Rod" Little in the pits.

Great job!
Thanks to the entire TRORA group for a nice weekend of racing. Jon Brewster did an awesome job of "putting it all together". Also, thanks for getting us out of there early enough that my westward drive home was completed before the sun hit the horizon.
Count on me to come back in 2012!

Thank you to everyone who attended this years event. 2 days of perfect glass water. I am sure everyone is "well done" by now and there was more suntan lotion being applied in Akron than at the beach.
Big props need to go out to Jesse Ward for all the hard work getting everything set up for the event with the park & town. Not to mention bringing so much stuff that he had to make 3 trips just to take it all home. Also, to Jonny B for setting up the Saturday dinner - great grub, even better when you do not to cook it.
Also, need to mention Shawn Brill who I think drove in at least 5 classes per day and will probably be asleep until Thursday.
Our staff photographer, Garrett was on hand all weekend and should have some great pictures. Stay turned for his post when they are done.
And lastly, thanks to all the drivers and volunteers who helped this weekend. The turnboat changes never lasted more that 15-20 mins and there was always someone to help.
For those that were unable to attend, we hope you add Lakemore to the schedule next year as plans are already in the works to make it bigger and better.Last edited by Brian10s; 07-18-2011, 10:59 AM.Brian 10s

Good Time!!
Team Mel had a great weekend at the TRORA event! Mel Thomas drove over 700 miles from South Carolina to attend the club race and wants to come back again next year. 85 and sunny with a little lake ripple! Doesn't get much better!
Nice to hang out with all the ole TRORA folks. Dave Little, Brewsters, Holts, Justice, Williams, Moose etc. etc.
Great to see big fields of 20ssh and CSH!!.............Remember, SUPPORT LOCAL RACING!
I am trying to attach some pics of pit people!.....just got to figure out how to do it. Where is Val when i need her!!

This was a great weekend for racing and spending time with friends. Thanks to Brian and Jeff Williams for covering the big props department for the race committee and out of region racer accolades. I don't have to type in all those names. Jesse Ward and family went over the top providing pit and racecourse necessities. Rock The Docks gets better every year. I’ve heard Stock Divisionals are being planned for next year. A big thanks to Jonathon Brewster and Brian Williams for roping Skippy and me.
Some of the weekend highlights for me were:
1. Meeting the Deck Brothers and knowing that one of them lives within a half hour drive from me.
2. The Mod. turn out from IOA.
3. Jeff Brewster's new C marathon boat, nice work! (good luck at Top`O.)
4. Jon Brewster's Saturday evening party.
5. Doug Follet's nailed start on Sunday in DSH (750MH).
6. While I'm on the subject of Doug, Thanks for the case of Yuengling Lager.
7. John Maddrell's chocolate chip cookies for my grandson Merrick. He loved them.
8. The inside packing of Brian's Team Race Craft trailer.
9. The Village of Lakemore’s improvements to the pit area.
10. The C Stock Runabout Races were awesome. (lI’m slightly biased)
11. Watching Joe and Skippy battle for first in the last heat of CSR.
12. Buddy Champlin came to watch. I haven’t seen him in years.
13. A lot of Pittsburgh Steelers fans wear orange kevlar. Go Browns. If SRP or Lifeline get increased sales for yellow kevlar, I want a small commission.
14. It was my Grandson Merrick's first race.
