    Team Cafarelli had a great weekend. Thank you IOA and Beaverton. thank you Parker\Robb racing for the use of the runabout.

    Here are the highlights:
    -3 first place finishes and a 2 second place finishes
    -loaned props...2 firsts a and 3 seconds.
    -camped in the trailer (loved family time)
    -ate carney food....Daisy worked the crowd for treats
    -got spun-out
    -I spun-out Bobby
    -Katie's new motor runs well
    -learned new rule you can not change motors between heats (bad crew chief)
    -Katie learned you do not have to turn around a dislodged buoy
    -Brian learned if you hit an IOU buoy it is $20. (Son thanked dad for bringing him a buoy)

        Brian does this mean u got the new 750 R finished? What were the 1st & 2nd's in? I would have liked to been there but it was too far away.

          Nope.... I drove the 7M boat... Bobby had speed all over me so I had to crash him out for the "Win".

          I will have it done next week if my moms health and life stays normal. Shooting for a Rochelle IL. launching.

              Beaverton boat count

              Brian,

              If I remember correctly Donna said we were at 152 for the weekend. We did the three days in two format. There were several smaller fields in the bonus races so as an estimate I'd say we were around 55 for saturday and sunday with the remainder in the bonus sets.

              We have never had very large numbers there. With it being a holiday weekend lots of people have other plans. This year was short notice as well. The shame of it is, that the local people love the races there. We hope that it can become a regular stop in the sport so more people can get there with advance planning and help the town grow it back into a bigger event. There were a ton of spectators there all day both days. I would still like to see the marathon added and will discuss it briefly at the Top 'O Michigan driver's meeting.
