I got a call from Brian Palmquist yesterday arond noon. He said it was great water for boating and there was good news and bad news. The good news was that he drove the C Mod hydro to a new record, beating the old one by 5 seconds. The bad news was that he was testing before and the gearcase broke on the other C motor. Well, its always good to have spares! That should pretty much finalize the Palmquist brothers both getting in the Hall of Champions this year.

Thats good news, for the Midwest guys. The bros Palmquist work very hard at it. Submitted for your approval....( thats why we don't race mod with one of a kind gearcases). could have ruined someones whole season. Imagine racing up and down the pits looking for a Crecsent foot to borrow. Do with it as you will. I learned the hard way. Congratulations to all. Anyone else set any records? Race Report?

jeez Steve, let it go!!!!!! Maybe some of us know where to get parts for that lower unit. Are you pissed just because you wanted it for your "antique" racing outboard??? Maybe you should whine to Greg McCreery, as he was the one who won the auction for the Crescent lower unit.....he is a member here!!! I suppose you want all the current Merc D foot owners to throw their units in the trash (or give to you) also, since you cannot buy all the parts for it over the counter also?????? Let US make the decision of what lower unit to use and our knowledge of the unavailability of parts for it.........

I'll never mention this again, I'm not pissed. just couldn't miss the chance to back up my previous post with a real life example. Maybe save someone some grief. What Greg does with that case is his own biz . About Merc feet.... send em on over.
