  • Starting the Yamato 102

Can I start my 102 in a water container without a prop on it. I have never started this rig and want to at least see if it starts. How long can I run it in the water tank. Any other information/advice would be greatly welcomed. this will be my first year racing.

There is no water pump in the Yamato motors. You can start it (dry fire) out of the water without a prop and run it for 10-15 seconds. If you want to run it for more than that you need to supply the water with an external pump (12V bielge pump and fittings) or a garden hose with an adaptor.
