Did they run sst45 at top o one time?

Yes, you are correct. I think it was in the late eighties for a couple years.

45SS at Top'O

I remember as well. It was before the enclosed canopy. A combimation of the logistics of watching over enclosed cock-pit boats over the entire course I think played a part in the demise at Top'O.
It was just before the start of KampKurz, so I was on the bank, watching from the 'Piney', and it certainly looked like a nice ride. No problems getting around Devil's Elbow and the Oxbow, I presume. I would like to hear from one of the drivers how it was in Burt and Mullet.
I know it was cool to see that's for sure. KampKurz
