  • steering cable

I was in search of some more steering cable. I am currently using 1/8 coated Stainless steel. I ran across this site with some exceptional prices on galvanized steel cable. I decided to post the link here for anyone that is in the market for some steering cable

Ive been using a type of non stretching rope from West Marine used for sailboat rigging. I don't have the name or the type as I am on vacation. But by using this I don't have any problems with the nylon being shed from the steel cable. I have used this for about 5 years with no problems. I change it about every other year. David Mason can probably give you the specs

I like to use 1/8" stainless wire rope without the plastic. I use these clamps to tighten it down. It will not move, Like the plastic coated wire will. You can find all this at McMaster Carr.
