I actually was just now able to contact Mark Gilbert, the dad of the driver, ALex..He said the hull is a Torenfleet hull. I have asked for more info on it. It happens to be for sale..It is just a really cool looking boat to me...I am wondering if it could be run in any of the classes in the USA.
If the powerhead is a Tohatsu M50D2 it is a legal class "D" Stock Outboard. Power trim and long shaft not allowed though.
Vee-Hulls never caught on here in the States because we have so much good water compared to Europe. No hull design takes the snotty water better than a Vee-hull. Unfortunately Vee-hulls are also slower than flat bottom runabouts, Tunnels, or 3 and 4 point Hydroplanes.
