  • 2010 ZAK Award winner is........

TIM SMALL, FOR 250 CC RUNABOUT.

Mike Krier and I are pleased to announce the winner of the 2010 ZAK award for the most points accumulated in 250 Runabout for the 2010 season in USTS races sanctioned by APBA is Tim Small, from Lighthouse Point, Fl.

Tim is the second three time winner of the award, joining Eddie Thrilby as the only other driver to be awarded the trophy and other awards three times.

The award will be presented at the USTS annual awards meeting and banquet in Chicago on 11-6-10, and the presentation will be handled by Paul Bosnich III, the 2009 winner.

The list of donors and their contributions will be posted shortly before the event, but since Tim has been a valued contributor to the award for the last several years, it was suggested that as his contribution this year, a "round on the house" at the meeting/banquet would be appropriate. All in favor should make their wishes known to him now, so he cannot plead "bad economy" or something similar.

As most who are familar with the Award know, it is presented each year to the High Point winner in the class with participation numbers that need a little help the following year, in the opinion of the organizers of the award. Year 2011 the award will be for 350 CC Runabout. LET THE PLANNING AND SCHEMING BEGIN!!!!!

Tim is so fast, he will probably be in and out of the awards ceremony before we see him, and especially before he has to buy anyone a drink.
        Congratulations Tim. You deserve it.

                  Congratulations

Congratulations to Tim Small, winning 3 ZAK awards running GRM motors. This says a lot on consistency and speed, the right combination. If you need to win, get a GRM.
