Those are glue blocks to reinforce the connection between the frame and the stringer. We do screw the two together, this is just a little extra insurance to keep the two together and keep the bottom strait.

The jig is now empty. Give us a call if you need a new boat for this season.

So that is built from the same plans your offering? Just a different windscreen configuration?

Sorry, I have never fished from a runabout. I have from a CSH though, but that is a story for another day.

Raymond, they appear to be built from the plans that we own the rights to and sell. Looks like CSH plans to me, but Mike would know for sure.

Looks like an MJR design. I have one just like them.

                  • Windscreen is the same configuration that we offer. We have a boat (2009/2010 build - see in New Boats 2010 thread) that is identical to it built from the plans that we offer. Second boat from the left.

                    • Tbr & mrc

When Marc Johnson exited the boat design and building business he sold it in sort of like two parts.

Mod & Stock went to Montana Race Craft (MRC)

Pro - Went to Nick Thomson & Bro. - TBR

Reason those boats look similar is they are the same hull. In Pro they have OSY400 which is not much more than CSH without a weight restriction. Sume subtle differences, but for the most part it is a gas pro class.

The other boats TBR offer are of the laydown config, and I think the Euro designs.

Hope this helps clear anything up. Nic, feel free to put the smack down on my post if it is wrong.

That is correct Dave.... OSY400 boats will be lighter in construction weight and transom could be taller, other than that, they are the same.

MRC has the C-Stock design available and TBR has the OSY400 design available.

Both boats weighed just under 90lbs with 2 coats of West, handles, and the Fin bracket installed.

As a runabout guy, looks good, what class?
