A Yamato weighs about 90 pounds.

Most 20 hydros are about 120-125 pounds rigged and ready to roll.

Thanks that was what I was afraid of. the Sidewinders are about 65 ish
so that means 90 pounds of lead for 20ssh

          Doing the math

65 lb motor + 125 lb boat = 190 lbs. Minimum weight in 20SSH = 400 lbs. that leaves 210 lbs for driver and safety gear - 90 lbs of lead = 120 lb driver. I gotta admit, that might be a little light to be running a 400 lb class. I on the other hand am looking forward to the day when my 185 lb driver can make minimum in 20SS, it's been a while

I am just a bit heavier than that but... after being tossed once when in the morning I was 3 over and somehow was 2 under after the heat. I like to be at least 7 over now. So that leaves me with staying in A, although I really wanted to run a little faster class.

Unless of course Good Mr Mackey was serious about the OSY ride next year. Then I could go take driving lessons from Ryan and Amy and crew

Ah...you know I am short on cash if something goes wrong, don't you? but I usually have plenty of beans, if that helps at all.
