9 ASR's all ran at once. very interesting, especially Thomas Allen. Reminded me of the first time Mike Pavlick ran a runabout. You were never quite sure which way the boat was going to go at any given point in time.

      Dmr

DMR was great, especially heat 2 with 3 boats side by side coming out of the first turn. If you have ever been to Oshkosh you would know that that is quite a feat.

Carter Olson did a great job in heat one of OSY nailing the start and flying to a heat one win.

Donny Allen tried several times to blow over his CSH on the backstretch, the the last time was way to close to going over.

Only driver to get wet was one of the Esposito boys in DSH. Nasty spill going into turn one with quite a bit of damage to the right chine. Driver is ok, boat is not.

The drive of the day and maybe of the year went to Jon Evans in CSR. He spun it out in turn 2 while out front. As the boat was coming around he shifted his weight forward and stayed on the throttle. With his weight forward he was able to keep the prop out of the water and the engine running while he literally slide backwards 50 feet. As he eased his weight back the prop caught and away he went.

Rookie Dakota Kroll took his first win ever in JH today. Unfortunately for him the traditional dunking was a bit cold.

It was very windy today with mostly sunny skies and temps hovering around 60. Oshkosh is so small and protected the wind did not bother us at all and we were able to get in the entire program. Tomorrow's weather is looking better with less wind and temps in the low 70's.

            Congrat to the winners!
We had seven new people fill out lead cards that want to go to the drivers school next year. The J motor and the foot sold to XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
Name withheld reduce the chance of spoiling a great surprise to a new young driver that has no idea dad bought a motor. This dad said he is going to pick up a 302 for himself. While I did speak to the father, I feel most of the credit really goes to Dell Snyder as I think he is the one that "sold" him.

              Congrats !!!

Glad to see all your hard work paid off on hauling around the J rig for sale and demo, etc.

I always felt and preached it years and years ago that we need to let people drive our boats at every race testing, anyone who asks who seems genuine interested. If every club in every region had one or two rigs to let people test in and trash becasue we all know this will happen with newbies, we could grow the sport more than any advertisement or boat show. Water time hooks them a lot easier. Just my opinion though, which of late has been worth squat.

                Thanks Dave
Many of us are in complete agreement with your above opinion.
as far as "butts in boats= new racers."

                    Add to the good feeling

                    Great job,

to add to the good feeling, MHRA has 9 confirmed "new name" prospects going through Racer School this Friday. We actually had to turn away three people, because we were over sold.

                    Very promising!

                      Thats Great!
As you know very well, there is so much that can be done with out a big budget. it just takes more effort and time. Even with a large budget I do not think it will work without investing the effort.

Wayne- Thanks on behalf of both our clubs MRC, BSOA. While this incarnation of our booth is my brain child, it would not be possible nor effective without the cooperation and support of our clubs

Thank YOU for helping out. As has been said over and over. without the scorers, there is no race.

Thank you Collette for helping in the judges stand – we also had another first-timer Katie – thank you as well as everyone that helped at the Oshkosh Race!

It takes a lot of volunteers to put a race on.

We welcome anyone interested in helping on the Judges stand. Please come and see me in the Pits or at Registration at Pleasant Prairie. We would be happy to have you join us.

A special thanks to Darlene – all of your help was very appreciated!
