  • Hi flying Jimmy Sobol!!!

    This pic is from BSH (20ci Hot Rod) elims at Hinton, WV 1987. I think Sobol REALLY wanted to pass Jeff Hutchins (11F) and was driving WAY over his head. This fun ride only lasted about another 3 seconds as he crashed hard going into turn 2. Took out the right cockpit side and that was that.

    Rumor has it that it is your b-day Jim, if it is then HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hope to see you at a race yet this year.

          Wow...that is quite the picture. Rarely see a hydro with Hot Rod that far out of the water. No wonder he crashed shortly after.

          As memory serves, he drove every boat like that. Wide open all the time.
