Rick Miller set 2 records in 400MH (25Mod). 61mph on 1 mile course and 57+ on 3/4 mile. Steve Wheeler and Ian Duggan were very close behind on near record pace, too. Colin Smith and Logan Sweeney set alternating records on the 3/4 mile course in JH ( I think? Perfect weather all weekend. Well run race. Good turn-out. More later. Mike Raceboat61-S

There is an upside... when we post on here. We are the only ones that see it. At times that is probably a very good thing LOL. But when we post on facebook many of our friends and friend's friends get exposure to boatracing.

            On the J record:
while it has been reported that Logan set a record then Colin broke it the next heat. What was not reported is that Logan set his record in lane 2 in second place. I wonder what his time could have been had he gotten lane 1 on the start?

              Steve,

Just for clarification, HRTV Facebook and MHRA Facebook as well as many other Facebook pages are no different then HydroRacer.Net

They are static HTML web sites that do not require that you join Facebook to view them. Don't confuse HRTV and MHRA with Facebook personal profile pages.

Through this new technology MHRA was able to post real time photos and results from a mobile cell phone literally as they happen live from Oroville, CA

Don't think of these new platforms as a way to detract people away from HR rather look at them as a complementing tool to what is by far the most popular message board on the internet for powerboat racing.

Exposure exposure exposure! never limit your self to just one outlet to get your message across to the masses.

                      Congrats

I heard Rich broke the record in only three laps on Sunday !! Nothing like coming back from a 4th lap flip and setting a record. Might be time for a new boat Rich, seems the power of your engine as it is currently built, is in need of a larger boat. I really really hope you decide to error on the side of saftey, riding over the wheel of a boat at that speed is going to hurt you or worse eventually. I have blown over backwards at 95MPH. I am lucky to be alive as we both know the weight of the OMC 3 CYL is silly heavy.

Congrats on your record. It was a tough one to beat, set in FL if memory serves.

                        Dave...

I still remember the sight and sound of your blowover in Huntington several years back. Was that FER? !/2 lap lead on 2nd lap when it happened. Worst I have ever seen. Glad you're still with us.

Congrats Rich. The previous record was set on 3/5/2000 at Crescent City, Fl. with my six banger.
