Dennis, that is great news. We had the first outboard race in Montana in 50 years this last June and it was exciting. The folks here can hardly wait for next year. Hope yours goes as well.

      Bluesky Racers,
You might want to check with Chuck Abell in Whitefish as to the last race oin Montana. It probably would have been held on Whitefish Lake in the 70's. Just for your info...

I have newspaper articles from the early 60's. Then 40 years if you say the 70's. Point being its been a long time since the last race. Chuck just retired about 2 years ago from the Whitefish Credit Union. I talked to him once. I believe his son still does some racing in Oregon. I think he would be amazed to find out we had a race this year.

Anyway it is great that racing is coming back to TEXAS!!

Mike, he may be able to help you get back on that lake too. He lives right on it and if retired "may" have time & energy to do "something"~! He was a sparklpug for racing in Montana in the 70's and an officer of APBA. He & Susan are great folks....

Thanks for the encouragement and for showcasing our race on the portal page Mike. Adding the Texas flag is a great touch.

Thanks again for all you and Teresa do for boat racing with this site. It is probably the single most important tool we have as racers to promote our sport.

NBRA Race at Somerville, TX 11/12 Sept

Water conditions are great! Had only about 2 inches of rain and the sky is clearing. Forecasts are for some clouds on Sat, 5 MPH winds, temps 89-91. Good Texas racing conditions. You all come! Jack

They both want to come but not sure if health issues will allow it. Won't know for sure until probably late Friday night. If they can come they will probably drive down Saturday morning and back home Saturday night.
