Cooler bobbing...
Even though the left coast's own Kyle Lewis put up a good fight and Ashley Rucker put up a good fight, the winner....is Jimmy Shane from Region 4. Defeating 2 time champ, Greg Lyons, Jimmy finally took home the money after coming close in the years past.Attached Filessigpic

It's everything I remember and more. Definate worth the wait. I have taken over 5000 pictures so far today however I will not have edited them until later this week, probably by Thursday or Friday. Drop me a PM if there's a specific boat you want pictures of. My daughter was also handing out fliers for me.

I will post some pictures later this week when we get to our summer place. The Lock Haven experience has been INCREDIBLE! Even though the races were cancelled Saturday everyone was in great spirits! Two days of racing were run today and the race committee did an outstanding job. We had numerous spills but all were OK. Dylan Runne's ASR stuff under the bridge was nasty but he ran the second heat.
We will have fewer entries tomorrow but it will be great.
12 J hydros hit the water today and put on a great show.
The video of Charlie Gonyea's flip is on my facebook page. Maybe Dan or Marlee can share it with you guys.
THANK YOU LOCK HAVEN, THIS PLACE ROCKS!!_____________________________________________

Is racing safe?
We were asked several times by spectators if boat racing is safe. Well, there were some nasty spills but everyone walked away. My wife, who doesn't race, had to go to the Lock Haven E.R. when she twisted her leg and wound up on crutches with tendon/ligament damage. She see's a specialist this week when we get to New York. She got to go back to the Lock Haven E.R. the next day when she tripped over her crutch and smashed her nose. It has nice blue stitches in it now. I guess racing is safer than walking.
Special thanks to Team Runne, Team Stillwell, Team Hearn, Team Smith and all who helped us get Amy's new runabout and Merc figured out. This is our first Merc J and it was quite a learning curve from the OMC. Thanks for the steering assistance Howie!_____________________________________________

Had a great time in Lock Haven. Most of the video from the webcast is archived on Ustream http://www.ustream.tv/channel/hydroplane-quebec
I should have given someone one of my GoPro HDs but I did see a couple people with GoPros. If anyone wants footage of their heat to combine with the GoPro footage just send me a message. I think adding the shot from the shore as a picture-in-picture really makes the onboard stuff more exciting to see.
