Well it's Sunday night and you all have finished racing. Looked like alot of fun and I'm sure glad Mr Street walked out of the back of the ambulance on his own.
I'm Tony Sirgedas, the sports photographer for The Dispatch newspaper in Eatonville. Along with that article in the paper, a picture from last year ran that is not up on the website. There should also be one or two pictures up this week from today's action.
I have a gallery of 239 photos for everyone to see from my trip out this afternoon. Sorry, didn't get everyone and got a few too many of some. I had to leave to cover some other items too. Last years pictures are still up if you navigate around the site.

Thanks Tony
Outstanding work. I could spend a fortune on pictures here, there are so many good ones. It would be interesting to see the time stamps on the series of Street's crash, I can tell you for sure that they were there immediately. I also like Wayne's hat, glasses, hat layered lookMoby Grape Racing

Tony and all who worked hard to coordinate this event..... a big thanks for all your hard work keeping this one on the schedule. I know it took a lot of extra work to do so. I had a terrific time even though I could only be there on Saturday. Also, a big thanks to the sponsors!Sean Byrne

The time Mr. Street hit the water was 2:38:36, the rescue swimmer hit the water at 2:39:29 and was with the driver moving to the boat at 2:39:39, so they made contact and had swimmer on his back moving towards the boat in barely over a minute. Time was 2:41:55 when the first sets of hands on the dock grabbed the stretcher from the boat. Total time from hitting water to on the dock a blistering 3 minutes nineteen seconds.
As a firefighter/EMT ( my day job when not shooting photos) with a background in technical rescue and water rescue this is incredible work. Way to go to the team from Oregon for their outstanding performance. You guys are lucky to have such a service available to you on the water.
Tony S.
BTW, the picture of the crash is on the front page of The Dispatch that came out today and posted on the papers's website. http://www.dispatchnews.com/Last edited by rainiersportsphoto; 09-01-2010, 12:24 AM.

I didn't want to bring this up BUT
This is the same rescue crew that was taking a load of BS from certain idiots at the Oroville race because they responded too slowly to a driver THAT HAD ALREADY SIGNALED OK. It will unfortunately probably be the last time you see them at Nationals, they were bitterly disappointed in the reception they recieved. These guys deserve every bit of thanks and respect we can give them, and I am a lucky race director to have them at a race as heavily attended as Eatonville.Moby Grape Racing
