  • Notes from KampKurz

A very nice day at Kamp Kurz, a lot of testing. Early birds were treated to some pretty good water, pleasure boats are heavy, it will be lumpy for a while. Stotts, Marshall, Broge, Kench, Kobren, Ross, Phillipe Adelle, Alkema, Lowe. Pruett, Kovtun, The Director, just a few of the usual suspects.
Mike Schensky (forgive) is setting up Three, I said THREE J's for Top'O marathon out at KampKurz. A nice field of J's for Top"O. Good work Mike!
Those that have been there and can't be there this year, we miss you. Check in once in a while. Mark Kurz

    Go Camp,

I hate to miss it...though I might hate Mullett Lake more.

Hi Mark, I'm preparing for the Oroville Nationals that are coming up and all of the work that takes to help put them together. But I had mentioned to my wife that Top-O was going on this weekend and how we want to go back again. It was great the times I got to go. I hope everyone does well and I'm hoping to see a bunch of people out here in Oroville for the Nat's.

Thanks Mark, when I heard you were taking a very active roll in the Nat's I can remember thinking, well then they are in good hands!!
We had a great day at Top'O. I will try to get home and put together a wrap up of sorts for those that want to know. We had the best water that Top'O has had in years, I'm told. Many of the fast calm water boats placed well.
Would love to have you and your wife back at Top'O. Hope to see you soon. Mark Kurz

Jeff! We miss ya'. Josh took first in DSR. 15 DSR's this year. Unfortunately, no Tohatsu's. I'm sorry that my facts are not better. I know Nick took a 4th, he joked that it was a little calm for his rig. I think Jimmy Ladd was second, maybe third. I will get some facts for a better reporttomorrow. Like I said, Top'o was calm, some of the faster boats held their own against traditional rough water specialists. We'll be expecting your presence for the next round. Mark
