  • Plans for runabout jr?

I'm looking to purchase a set of plans for a runabout that can run in j runabout. I have talked to Darrell sorensen about his Jakal (great boat) He will sell a partial kit. Which will be good if I can't find any plans. I have brought my daughter to a few races and she is very interested. I have looked every where with no luck. Other than finding old outdated boats that the class no longer exsists. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ken

Don't hesitate to do business with Darrell Sorensen. His stuff is very fast, very easy to handle and great for beginners.

              Thanks

I live in Mass about 20 miles north of Boston. The little bit of info I got all leads back to a soresen boat.

I have always wanted to build one. I run a lumber co. so materials are very reasonable and we have big custom shop so I wanted to give it a try. Probably a waste of time.

                  Good kits/plans

We have built 2 Sorenson J/A runabouts, both very good boats. I can't imagine why you would think it would be a waste of time, I find the time I spend boat building to be the most relaxing quality time I spend most weeks.

                    J kit

Jack and I built the Sorenson Kit . He has had a great time with it . We are near Sanford Maine, if you would like to come up and look. Shawn

                        Frame Kit

We purchased the frame kit . Construction time is hard to say , we would work a couple of nights a week for an hour and a half or so and a few hours on the weekend. The hull came togather in a few weeks . It was a lot of fun and led us to put a new ASH togather last winter. Hope to see you racing in Region 1 soon.
