                Hello all,

I stopped by the Kaiser's place last night to visit.

Ken was laying down, but he got up and walked around too. He doesn't have to wear a halo, but he will have to wear a neck brace for 8-10 weeks. It was good to see him doing so well. He was asking about everyone and about the California race.

Jared was gone to a football game with his brother and mother, but returned shortly. Jared's cut looked amazingly minor. We all know that it certainly wasn't minor, but I could not get over how well he has healed already! His cut looked like a cat scratch. I don't think there will be any hint of a scar. The surgeons did a fantastic job. He's up and about as if nothing ever happened.

Becca was doing her homework. We talked a bit and she is doing well also.

The rest of the family, extended family and pets all seem to be happy to have everyone back at home. Everything seems to be getting back to normal again.

They wanted me to let everyone know that thier computer is down, so they haven't been able to check email or the web.

The have the Get Well poster that was at Shadow Cliffs. Thanks to those that put it together and to those that signed it. I know it means alot to the Kaisers.

Hello everyone, Ken here back online after the accident as well as a debilitating computer virus that took our home computer offline.

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who let my family and I know that we where in the hearts and prayers of our extended racing family. Your support at a time of great need to us was very special and to all of you we wanted to express our thanks.

A special thanks to Sheryl and Kevin who stopped by the hosiptal every day and to my Uncle Buzz who gave up a week to not only bring Jennifer to us in Spokane but stayed with us and then brought us all home.

An update of how things are going:

Jared, my 5 yr old son who was essentially scalped in the accident and also received a broken arm returned to school last week after only 2 weeks since the accident. For those of you who know Jared you will of course also know that he is shy to express his feelings outside our home and has one of the most sensitive of personalities. From the beginning he has been brave and complained very little about his injuries and almost not at all about pain. He is a real solder when things get tough.

Becca, who was lucky enough to be only slightly injured during the accident, is doing well, but Jennifer and I cannot help but notice that she is more sensitive now than before. My family owes my daughter a great debt for her assistance to my son and myself at the accident scene. There in a field at 3:30 AM after rolling our truck along a rural road she kept her head and not only removed herself from the truck that came to rest on its roof after a 60 MPH rollover accident, she then looked to Jared and I who where both unconscious and lying on the roof because our seat belts failed to hold us. Realizing that I was lying on top of Jared she managed to get one of the crushed doors open far enough to safely remove me and then Jared. She then administered direct pressure first aid to Jared’s wounds and at the same time tried to keep me from moving as I began to regain consciousness but could not see due to the imapct to my face nor understand what had happened to us. We are told by the surgeon that worked on Jared for many hours that in time his scars should heal and become hardly noticeable and that this is due to the care that Becca gave him until help arrived. We are also told that her efforts may have actually saved Jared’s life because his wounds where severe enough that had it not have been for her assistance that my son may have bleed out.

I cannot help but brag about Becca’s cool and perhaps life saving behavior and I wanted all of you to know what she has done.

As for myself, I’m doing much better every day. I returned to Spokane last Monday for a 2 week post-op appointment and was told that everything is looking fine. Unfortunately the recovery for a broken neck appears to be slow and my projected return to work date is not until January 10th 2005. So I have lots of time on my hands to sit around and surf the net.

I hope every one of you is doing well and the winter down time passes quicker for you than it is for me these days.

Hi Ken and crew, it is great to have you back on line. Ken, I know what a pain in the a*s that neck brace is, been in one twice myself. I recommend lots of computer games. Becca, you're quite the young lady, we're all proud of you. As for Jared, the resillience of the young is on of our makers great gifts. We're all looking forward to Jared in the J rookie class of '08. You're fortunate to have great support from our CORA mates down there as well as a great wife and family. Take the time you need to heal up properly and we'll see you soon.

Thanks Tony, its great to be semi-mobile again. While I hate the neck brace, I wear it. I keep trying to get up and do a few things, but my injuries have a way of quickly reminding me that everything is still not OK.

We are hoping to make the region meeting and banquet, but it may be a reach.
