    Penny,

Always love seeing you and Howard, Lorraine and I look forward to it. Enjoyed coming up to Seattle. Howard is as tough as they come and I pray he will come out in better health. Our thoughts and prayers to you both, as always.

Penny: Please give that grumpy old bastard a hug from me and tell him he needs to LISTEN to the doctors so he can make it to Depue this year.

I had a chance to talk with Howard recently and he passed on a little bit of his usual good advice to me. I look forward to many more of those chats Howard. The Kirts family sends their prayers and will keep Howard, Penny and the Anderson family in our thoughts.

            Update

I just copied this from Sheryl's facebook page...This is from someone else, I didn't talk to her personally

Here's an update from Sheryl ... talked to her on the phone, and Howard is more responsive today and is now mouthing words in response to Penny. Sheryl told him to kick ass and take names ... he seemed to like that idea, so I think the Howard we all know and love is definitely up for this race! They are still doing tests, but things are looking brighter. Let's all keep those prayers coming!

                          Everyday

Everyday he shows a little improvement. The hospital said sites like hydroracer and facebook are easier to update and spread the word so thank you to the racing family for allowing us the opportunity to post here. Howard is still heavily sedated, on a lot of fluids, and trying really really hard to get through this. As he said, he isn't ready to leave quite yet. He had a mild heart attack they believe last night, however there is no damage. We are praying tonight comes with little or no complications, and tomorrow brings more and more improvement and response from him. I know it brought a tear to the eyes of my mom and Howards family to hear the well wishes brought to him on hydroracer so thank you everyone. They gave us a grim prognosis on Monday morning, and since then they are amazed, and the doctors are placing their bets on Howard. AND, he got to see his DOG today in ICU, and they both are quite happy now.

More to come.....thank you everyone from the family.

And...........those are just all his kids and wife...........lol.

A mild Heart attack? He must have heard that I had another one in April and was just trying to keep up! That is not the race you want to win. Get well my friend.
