1977 ASH - Are you Mark Demaray?

Stock Outboard is all about a level playing field.

True parity is one motor per class.

It's RACING, not just another boat ride!

NOT a representative of Racing Outboards LLC.

Yes - tis me. Mark Demaray - I ran primarily ASH from about 1968 until 1978 or so. Also ran a 125ccH. Won a few in my day - had a great time with and knew most of your fathers and grandfathers............ A few folks in my family still race - Sheryl Rucker and Susan Rautenberg are my nieces (although they seldom admit it).

Right on! This is why it is the job of the SORC and APBA to try to protect us from ourselves. We have to pass rules that prevent drivers from doing dangerous things that may inadvertantely hurt others. Hydrotuck is a perfect example. It is also the reason OMC mandated when it introduced the OMC 15 in 1984 that it run buried at 1 3/8" below the bottom.

Stock Outboard Racing is about trying to have evenly matched equipment available to everyone and weight and height restrictions are one means to this end!

My years have taught me that we have to take the lowest common denominator and work up from there.............
