  • Y80 and CSH

At the recent Ocoee Winter Nationals I had a discussion with an Region 6 Ohio racer about the CSH and the 20ssh class. He thought the following would be a good idea to consider. In APBA the 20ssh class allows the 102 and 302 with restrictors for parity (for now), we presume to bolster the number of boats in the 20ssh class. This is an advantage for the CSH drivers because they get an extra class to run if they want to. But a disadvantage to 20ssh drivers because they do not get an extra class and would probably like one. With all the mix and matching going on in stock, we thought, what about allowing Y80 in CSH with its 20ssh weight of 400 lbs or some other weight reduction for parity. Since the 20ssh class is not on all stock schedules and CSH is this would bring extra boats to race and give an extra class to 20ssh drivers. Anyone know what weight the 20SW runs at in 20ssh?

Maybe this has already been discussed ?

Just some thoughts please keep it civil.

I could be wrong but I don't think that a Y80 even at 20ss weight would keep up with the 102/302 in CSH.I am sure that there is some good running ones that would compete. You would have to be running just for the ride in most cases. If ride time is what you are looking for go for it.
