They announced a 1350hp 4 overhead cam turbo'ed 9 liter V-8 offshore motor, which of course gets 30% better fuel economy than a non turbo 1350hp motor, so Fred says its a "green" motor ... yeah, right ... Reggie probably likes them

If Mercury is making it for Offshore then you can bet Reggie approved it.

Did you notice the 60 EFI FormulaRace motor is manufactured in Suzhou, China?

I already knew the 60 was made in China, the Screamandfly guys had been cracking on it for that. They've also been so worked up some have bought short 60's from Frode in Sweden just so they could get the motor by itself to use on non race boats.

Man, that last shot of the 60's on the line in China would have been better if it was taken with an iPhone. Whatever cheap cellphone they used had a sucky camera. You would think it would mean more to them than that.

Not sure if Reggie had any input on the big motor, his employment situation was in flux until a few weeks ago.
