  • Stolen 55H

A close friend of mine has had his 55H stolen. The motor was in storage for many years in a Michigan basement in a farm house in South West Michigan. The gear foot was apart at the time of the theft (it had gear failure). The motor is red and black. Please PM me if you are approched to purchse any such motor. There is a reward being offered. I am awaiting information if there are any serial numbers that were documented on this engine. Thanks for your help.

    More info

The owner has sent me the following update. This was a RED 55H with no wrap around cowl on the engine. Any leads appreciated.

Tom I will pay a 200 dollar reward for the return or info that is good.
numbers don't match. there might be a 4m or pvs on some of the parts. The gear foot is glued to the exhaust housing and probably most people won't know how to get them apart. the prop shaft, gear, bearings, water pump and nose cone are missing.

If you have anyone approach you for parts or an offer to buy such an engine please let me know.

Sorry to hear some ahole would do that to your friend. I find it ironic that that gear foot that was on that motor was from my father that lent it to Phil.
I hope that when or if you are able to find the thief he will get exactly what he deserves.
